Due to AP Exams tomorrow the announcements will be done between the last two classes.
Guidance:
Prom contracts will be available today at lunch in the pit. You will need one completed for each grad and their date. The contracts need to be completed and signed prior to purchasing the tickets. Tickets will be available for purchase on Monday, May 13. Ticket sales will close May 24th. No tickets will be sold after this date so get them early to avoid disappointment. At this time the ticket prices are $70 each. They started out at $75.  If we have a great turn out to Mr. Auburn on Thursday night we may be able to lower that again before Monday! Get your friends and family and random strangers to come on Thursday night.

Rotary D7820 is now accepting applications from current Grade 10/11 students to attend the Rotary Adventure in Human Rights program in Winnipeg, August 18-24, 2019. This is a fully sponsored opportunity for a student with an interest in human rights and the potential to leverage the experience through leadership and community service. Please see Ms. Meunier in Student Services for an application. The deadline for applications is May 24, 2019.

Sports:
The girls rugby team had a fantastic game against JL Illsley yesterday defeating them 48-21. Ashlyn O'Reily was a standout with two tries and three conversion kicks. Grace McCluskey got her first try and Asiia Johnson, Allyson Betyna, Santia Grant, Jenna Faulkner, Jessica Hussey, and Mj Jackson also scored in a great game back into the season.

Track and Field sprint practice is Thursday from 6-8 pm at Beazley field, and Sunday from 10 a.m. – Noon.  All other events are Friday after school.

Speaking of Aubcon…this is another event you don’t want to miss. The canteen sales benefit prom. Saturday, May 26 from 10 am to 4pm…we celebrate everything geek and nerd. Video game tournaments, nerf wars, panels on gaming and cosplay; cosplay contests; vendors…the fun is on all day and all included in the price of your admission. Tickets will go on sale on Friday : they are $10 at the door on the day…$8 in advance at the main office. Advance sales are available until May 21. Check us out..you will want to be in on the fun!

Mr. Auburn is tomorrow night from 7 – 9 ish…whenever the fun is done. Make sure you don’t miss out. Get your tickets today and tomorrow at lunch in the pit for just $5. You can also get them at the door for $7. A reminder that this event is a prom fundraiser- lots of people attending means smaller ticket prices for grads. Be there to witness history in the making!
