WELCOME TO DOWNSVIEW AND CHURCHILL VISITING SCHOOLS TODAY!

We would like to welcome two classes visiting from two different schools in Ontario: Downsview and Churchill. We are very glad to have you with us and hope you have a safe trip back home.


Guidance:
A reminder to our Grads to tidy up your outstanding fees (grad and student) and/or missing books. All of those need to be taken care of prior to collecting your graduation package at rehearsal, or, if you are not attending graduation, to collecting your diploma package.


Also for those who have received scholarship offers of any sort… we can’t brag about you if we don’t know about it. Bring in a copy of your notification to the main office.


Grad wear order forms are available from the main office. The order is being placed tomorrow. Forms must be in by end of day tomorrow to be included.


The Frank Osborne Memorial Hockey Bursary is valued at $300 and is awarded to a graduating student who has successfully combined school hockey and academics.  Applicants must have demonstrated good sportsmanship on the ice and a positive attitude in the classroom. (Must have scored 80% + above academically throughout grade 12 year.) Financial need will also be considered. Male and female applications are welcomed.  A letter of application explaining how the game of hockey has positively impacted your life plus some other information needs to be emailed to the family no later than June 15th.  Please see the bulletin board in Student Services for more information.


A representative from  the VolunTEEN program at Ocean View Continuing Care Center in Eastern Passage will be here on Thursday June 6th at lunch time to give information and recruit teen volunteers for this summer.  The VolunTEEN program offers exciting volunteer opportunities Ocean View; the representatives will pass out pamphlets and volunteer applications during their visit.  Be sure to stop by and ask questions!


The Rev. Dr. Donald D. and Mrs. Evelina Skeir Memorial Scholarship is now available for applications. The deadline for this scholarship is July 30, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Please see Student Services for an application or more information.

Eagle of the Week this week is Kate Arsenault for being an awesome and spirited student during rugby and the NSSSA conferenct. Pick up your treat from the main office.
