BIKE WEEK! RIDE YOUR BIKE TO SCHOOL ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5. CHECK OUT HRM FOR MORE EVENTS HAPPENING ALL WEEK.

Guidance:
A reminder to all grads that your fees need to be taken care of prior to graduation: That is your student fees and your grad fees and any outstanding athletic fees. As well you need to find your lost text books or library books from all years and return them or pay for their replacements. Your VP can hook you up with the info on that one.


A representative from GOVA Adventure Co. will be in the Pit area on Wednesday June 5th to promote their Halifax-based summer program that focuses on outdoor activities and leadership for students. The group offers week-long Summer Adventure Day Camps that are designed for youth age 13-18 and facilitates daily outdoor adventure excursions including surfing lessons, kayaking and zip lining.  Please stop by and visit with Brett on Wednesday if this opportunity interests you!

Sports:
Congratulations to the girls softball team for winning the bronze medal at provincials on the weekend.

School:
Ms. Mosher in room 220 has a couple of announcements: the essay writing group will be meeting Monday, Wed and Friday at lunch this week. As well, she has an invitation for her students in search of extra help in her English classes for any day at lunch this week, except Thursday.


Give it your all in spirit week these next few days. Starting today with smile day, wearing yellow and bright colours and, of course, a smile. Tomorrow come wearing your favourite summer attire. On Wednesday it will be tourist/ tropical day. Thursday will be neon day; And lastly for Friday it will be athletic day including yoga with Mrs. Priest at lunch


Youth of today will be meeting tomorrow at lunch.

Community:
June 3-7 is Bike week
We are encouraging students to bike to school Wednesday June 5 which promises to be sunny. The first 25 students to bike to school Wednesday will win a prize.
We have arranged for bikes and helmets to be locked up in the storage area by the shop doors for the day. Over the week at lunch we will be having trivia games and prizes outside the library. Test your knowledge of rules of the road for bicycles.
Active transportation is supported by Metro transit they have easy to use bike racks on their buses and ferry's! Check out the how to use HRM bus bike rack YouTube video. 
Friday we have the Ecology Action Centre visiting to present basic bike maintenance, safe bike routes and safety tips. They will be in the pit stop by and ask any questions about bike safety.
HRM has lots of events this week check out the list by the Library.
