Comin up in October: On the 28th…McGill will be here at 1:30 and SMU will be here at noon. SMU will be offering on the spot admissions. When you sign up for the event a transcript will be printed for you. …Scholarship deadlines later this month: Horatio Alger Scholarship on the 25th and the Loran direct pool is Oct 24th.


Sports:
The boys soccer team have a game today 4 VS Millwood at Cole Harbor field. Come out and cheer the boys on. The next 2 games are crucial


The girls volleyball team host rivals Cole harbour high tonight at six in the gym. Come out and support your eagles.


Congratulations to our Girls Soccer team… They passed judegement on the JL Ilsley Judges in their last game…9-0… It looks like the girls are born to share the glory…scoring for Auburn were: Charity Cormier and Lynn Shepard with 2 each; Naomi Bouter, Zoe Law, Natalie MacDonald, Ciera Oliver-Dares, Beth Padfield and Gilian Ritchie making up the balance. The shutout was shared by Allyson Betyna, Tiffany Farouse and Aleyna Cormier. Congratulations Eagles!


School:
There is a grade level rep campaign week going on. Support your fave candidate!


Ealgle of the week this week is Jenna Morrison. Thank you for the only one who bought an orange shirt…who wan’t student council. Thanks for your support. Pick up your certificate in the main office.


Student salutes go to Ms. Elliott, Ms. Ward and the Rays for putting on an awesome student council retreat.


Hey eagles! Interested in getting involved with your school? Attend the club fair on October 10th! This coming Thursday in the pit at lunch, you will find clubs and sports like jack.org, free the children, aubcon, rugby and many more to join! Don’t miss out! If you have a club and want to advertise sign up outside the council room to get a booth.

The Auburn Drive High Animal Awareness committee is once again hosting the cutest pet contest. This is open to students and staff. Please submit a clear picture of your pet, including his/her name, personality and age to Ms Moser. We are focusing on supporting local shelters and would love to know if your little angel came from a rescue.
Gift cards from Petvalue will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place


Terry Fox Week: Walk Wednesday: Pay $2 and walk for Terry during D block; Thursday: Tea for Terry; Friday: Pie Friday- buy a ticket for a chance to win an opportunity to throw a pie at a teacher. $0.50 per ticket. Tickets will be sold all week. There will be a shakedown during D block. All proceeds go towards the Terry Fox Foundation!
Imhotep will be after school today and tomorrow.


Humans vs Zombies…Tuesday, October 15 6pm-9pm… only $5 per person in advance (Thursday, Friday or Tuesday) or at the door. Three hours of chasing down the zombie scourge…help stop…or spread…the infection. You don’t want to miss this first one of the year!


Tonight is our first Movie night! It will be held at the school in the caf from 7-9pm. The event is free but make sure to bring money for snacks! Also be sure to bring pillows and blankets to stay cozy while watching the Halloween thriller: Scream!
