The Peter Kohler scholarship is a $50,000 award distributed over 4 years.  To be eligible for this award, applicants must be graduating from high school in June 2020 and entering their first year of full-time studies in an Engineering Program at a University in Atlantic Canada in September 2020.  Applicants will be adjudicated upon the basis of their financial need and academic standing.  The deadline for application is January 15, 2020.  For more information and the application, please visit the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia’s website. http://cfns-fcne.ca/en/peterkohlerscholarship

Sports:
This month two athletes have been picked that have demonstrated outstanding athletic achievement! Ben Bruce and Riley Felix have been selected for the month of December! Both athletes have had amazing senior seasons and both are going on to play for university’s! Congrats Ben and Riley!!

The Auburn Drive Boys Hockey Team had a very successful weekend at the City of Lakes tournament. They went undefeated in the tournament, winning 6 in a row and only giving up 5 goals. They defeated Leo Hayes in the championship game by a final score of 4-3 in overtime. This is the 3rd tournament win for the Eagles this season.

The Eagles took home a few extra awards as Conar Brace and Logan Gillis were selected as Tournament All-Stars and Hunter Canning was awarded the Tournament Most Valuable Player."

Tree Team update we managed to raise $600. to plant trees and had a goal of 914 one for everyone at Auburn.  To reach our goal we will run a lunch time event this week, along with keeping our Auburn Tree Team Karen's recycling account open until Thursday please drop off your holiday recycling to help us reach our goal. Imagine the world managed to hug itself in trees and you were part of it
