Guidance:
University visits this week:  The Saint Mary‘s University pizza luncheon that was cancelled due to the snow storm in February is re-scheduled for Thursday March 5th.  If you have signed up already, you don’t need to sign up again.  If you would like to attend and haven’t signed up yet, please sign up in Student Services.

University Visits next week: A representative from the university of King’s College will be here on Tuesday March 10th during lunch to speak to students and answer questions about their programs.  The representative will have a table set up in the Pit.

Scholarship applications due this month: IWK – March 2; East Coast Credit Union- March 5; NSCC- Mar 20th; IODE bursary- Mar 30 and John Abass Sr. Memoiral- Mar 31
IODE PROVINCIAL BURSARY: The 2020 bursary application is open for both male & female grade 12 students. The deadline for receiving applications is March 30, 2020.  Late applications will not be considered.  Please make sure students know they have to consider how long it would take for their applications to get to me through the mail system.

The Salt Marsh Trail Running Club Scholarship is valued at $500. This scholarship is given out annually to the student who best exemplifies what it means to be a well-rounded person. Not only does this student strive to do their best academically, but balances their life by participating in sports and involving themselves in the greater community, particularly through volunteer work.  Student is required to submit a short (200 word approx.) essay outlining why they would be a good candidate for this scholarship, especially highlighting their activities within the community, what their community at large means to them and what their goals are for the future.  The application deadline is May 25, 2020.  Please see the bulletin board in Student Services for more information.

Sports:
Girls Rugby Practice has been cancelled for Monday, March 2nd.  The next practice will be on Wednesday, March 4th from 4-6pm.

School:
Those who have signed up for the Girls’ Conference…please make sure to drop off permission forms to the main office by Wednesday.

A reminder to please sign the card in the main office for our sister school in Ghana. We are sending the money we raised to them this week and want to enclose a little encouragement from us Eagles.

Hello eagles! The HRM wide dance happening at Dartmouth high school on April 2nd is fast approaching. In order to attend this dance you will need to pick up a contract outside of the council room. Tickets will be on sale starting tomorrow. Tickets are 15$ each and you must bring the signed contract with you. We only have 40 tickets to start! So the first 40 people with their contract sign and 15$ are set!!

Yearbook team photos will take place on Tuesday, March 10. Listen for your team/s  or clubs to be called down.

Reach for the Top, usually after school on Mondays, is cancelled for this week.

Our online clothing store is up and running! The first section closes February 26th! So be sure to get your clothing fast! There are lots of different options to suit all your Auburn clothing needs! Be sure to check out the samples in the office! We have brands including guildan, champion and lots of other options!!

Youth of today will meet tomorrow at lunch.

Attention grade 12's. Prom is approaching and we are going to have a pop-up dress sale this week. We will have many dresses available for sale for between $10 and $20 a dress. Some of these dresses have been donated and others are brand new! Bring your money and the dresses will be on sale wednesday to friday!
