A message from Mr. Fraser re: Black History Month
Good day Auburn Drive Students February 1st marks  the beginning of African Heritage month.  This year we have chosen a theme;  "Who Inspires Me".  Check out the bulletin board outside student services.  We have decorated it to show strength and determination and encourage you to honour who inspires you by writing a note for the board. Who represents strength and positivity to you? Who do you look up to? It can be your mom, your sister, a celebrity..  the possibilities are endless...
See Miss Lohnes in student services for a “bubble” to write your note on. Then we will put it up to share with everyone.
Now listen up Auburn students... this is where things get real. This is the part where you win stuff... yes, win stuff!!!
We are kicking the month long celebration off with a trivia contest. “Who am I ?” Is the name of the contest. Here, we are featuring our communities  local black leaders. Each week for the entire month you will have two chances to win prizes..
Tuesday and Thursday mornings we will announce information and hints about an important black person in our community. Then it’s up to you to figure out who the person is. The first correct answer delivered to student services will win a prize.
Now, if you’re ready, then put on your listening ears because here are the hints for the first game.....
“I started my basketball journey at Prince Andrew High school. Then I attended Iowa State University. From there I signed with the NBA Minnesota Timberwolves affiliation team Iowa Wolves”
Do you know who this person is? If you do then let us know!!
Good luck and god bless ❤️
