Women in Science and Engineering Acadia NetworkIT mentorship program

We have a Women in Science and Engineering Acadia NetworkIT mentorship program during winter 2021 and would love participation from female students grades 10 - 12. We will pair high school aged female identifying student with a university female identifying student who share a common interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Last semester this program took place entirely virtually through Microsoft Teams and it was a success.

We are seeking female students who would enjoy having a mentor who is in university. We will match the students based on common interest and they will engage in weekly 30-to-60-minute structured video chats that will be scheduled by the mentor and mentee to accommodate their availability. See this poster with further details on the NetworkIT program, and the google form that has all the information for participants to sign up. Details surrounding start and end dates will be directly communicated to the mentees once we have received their email information. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out (contact Addie: 147350k@ACADIAU.CA).
