Guidance:
A representative from the University of King’s College will be here on tomorrow during lunch time to speak to students about their programs and admissions.  Please see your school counsellor for more information.


The Loran Scholar's Foundation is an award valued at approximately $100,000 over 4 years of undergraduate study. If you are interested in being nominated please see your guidance counselor or get an application form on the Student Services bulletin board. Deadline is October 7th.

Sports:
Our Eagles baseball team had 4 big wins and no losses on the weekend to advance to the next round of the playoffs taking place this coming weekend.


Today our golf team is competing in the Regional Championships, best of luck to all our Auburn Golfers.


Reminder of Cross Country practice after school today.


School:
All second semester FLA 12 students must register for the DELF before Sept 30th. See Mr. Chiasson for more information. 

We are fortunate enough to be able to offer after school help for our African Nova Scotian students through the Imhotep program again this year. It will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays in room 225 after school. This starts this coming Wed, Sept 25.

Youth of Today will be meeting tomorrow at lunch.

Yearbook will meet Thursday at lunch in room 216.

Our first gaming night will take place this coming Thursday eve from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. There will be video games, board games, bring your MTG or Pokemon..there will be someone to play with. There will be a canteen so bring your change

There will be a Reach for the Top meeting after school in room 204. All are welcome! Come on out and test your trivia knowledge.

Attention all youth aged 12-18…The Preston RCMP Stetsons and Spurs Youth Group is Recruiting! Wed Sept 25, 6:30 pm at North Preston Rec Centre and Thursday Sept 26, 6pm at the Black Cultural Centre. See the poster in Student Services for more information.


The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) at the Cole Harbour Place Library is looking for new members!  The TAB group will meet regularly to have fun, eat food, and discuss your opinions on topics that affect youth.  If you are interested in learning more, please check out the informative meeting on Tuesday, September 24 @ 6:30pm at the CHP Library.  If unavailable to attend the first meeting but would like to be a part of the TAB, please reach out to Doreen Shea , Teen Services Assistant, by e-mail at sheado@halifax.ca or by phone at 902 490 3820.
