Join Understorey Magazine and the Alexa McDonough Institute for Women, Gender and Social Justice for a two-day workshop on writing and publishing about the climate crisis. Work with authors, editors, journalists, and poets to learn the craft of writing, including journalism, memoir, essay, fiction, and poetry.  This is a free writing and publishing workshop for youth aged 14-19.  The session will take place on Saturday, October 26th & Sunday, October 27th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at Mount Saint Vincent University, McCain 105/105.  For more information, please see the poster in Student Services.

Sports:
The boys have a soccer game today at 4 vs SHS first place is still in the balance. The boys won Friday with a 12-2 crushing of Cole Harbor.

Join me in wishing Noah Hallett all the luck of the Eagles as he represents us golfing in the provincials today.

The girls volleyball team are reminded to meet in the pit at 2:45 in order to leave for their game at Prince Andrew this afternoon.

Hey auburn! There’s a wrestling a team starting up this year and all are welcome no experience needed. Come out to practices starting Wednesday October 16th from 3:45-5 at força training centre and continuing every Monday Wednesday and Friday after that. Hope to see you there!

Humans vs Zombies…Tuesday, October 15 6pm-9pm… only $5 per person in advance (Thursday, Friday or Tuesday) or at the door. Three hours of chasing down the zombie scourge…help stop…or spread…the infection. You don’t want to miss this first one of the year!


Craft Fair participants: There will be a meeting tomorrow at lunch in the band room for everybody involved in the craft fair.

This coming Thursday in the pit at lunch, you will find clubs and sports like jack.org, free the children, aubcon, rugby and many more to join! Don’t miss out! If you have a club and want to advertise sign up outside the council room to get a booth.

Terry Fox Week: Muffin Monday; Tuesday: Tea for Terry- tea and hot chocolate for sale for $1.; Walk Wednesday: Pay $2 and walk for Terry during D block; Thursday: Tea for Terry; Friday: Pie Friday- buy a ticket for a chance to win an opportunity to throw a pie at a teacher. $0.50 per ticket. Tickets will be sold all week. There will be a shakedown during D block. All proceeds go towards the Terry Fox Foundation!

The Auburn Drive High Animal Awareness committee is once again hosting the cutest pet contest. This is open to students and staff. Please submit a clear picture of your pet, including his/her name, personality and age to Ms Moser. We are focusing on supporting local shelters and  would love to know if your little angel came from a rescue.
