School

• Grad Photos: A reminder to any grade 12 students who have not yet had their grad photos taken, that Adams Photography will be here again next week.  Please book your appointment via the link on the school website.

• Christian Fellowship: Reminder of Christian Fellowship today at lunch in room 225.

• Yearbook quotes: Grade 12 students who wish to have a quote under your Grad photo in the yearbook, please check your email for a message from Mr. MacLellan providing you a link to a Google form to enter your quote. The deadline for quotes is Friday January 19th. If you did not receive this email, please see Mr. MacLellan in the office.

• Peer Tutoring: There will be Peer Tutoring today at lunch.

• NS Works: To African Nova Scotian students in Grades 10, 11 & 12, the NS Works School Liaison is in Student Services today. Drop in to schedule an appointment or to get help with career exploration and resumes.

Student Services

• Exam Bootcamp: School Counselors will be leading an Exam Bootcamp to help students prepare for exams.  Exam Bootcamp sessions will take place on: Tuesday January 9th, Thursday January 11th, Tuesday January  16th  and Thursday January 18th .  Each session focuses on a different topic; the sessions include:

                    Day 1- Organization and Time Management
                    Day 2- Effective Study Skills
                    Day 3- Test Taking Strategies
                    Day 4- Managing Anxiety and Stress

     Pizza will be given out for lunch these days, so only students who sign up in advance will be offered a seat for the Exam Bootcamp sessions.  The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board in Student Services.

• Course Changes: Any students planning to request a course change for next semester should stop by Guidance ASAP to make an appointment. Requesting a change early will help to avoid a rush once the second semester begins.
