Guidance:
A reminder to all grads that your fees need to be taken care of prior to graduation: That is your student fees and your grad fees and any outstanding athletic fees. As well you need to find your lost text books or library books from all years and return them or pay for their replacements. Your VP can hook you up with the info on that one.


The Brad Martin Memorial Bursary is now available. To be eligible for this bursary you must be entering a business or commerce program at a postsecondary institute this fall, as well as have been a student athlete during high school. The bursary amounts that are available range from $500 - $1000. Applications are to be returned to the Student Services office by noon on Friday, June 7, 2019. The Peter Wicha Bursary is offering $1500 to a worthy grade 12 student. The deadline is June 19th, 2019. Please see Student Services for an application.

The Auburn Athletic awards will be handed out TODAY at Lunch time in the Gym.  You can check the lists at the Gym to see if you have won an Award. If you are receiving an Award, please come to the Gym at the beginning of lunch


any Auburn Athlete in Grade 12 that has reached “Teal Eagle” status to come see Mr.  Wheatley in Student Services.  To reach this plateau, you must have played on at least 4 Auburn Sports Teams per year for 3 years


School:
spirit week finishes off tomorrow  with athletic day including yoga with Mrs. Priest at lunch


Lost and found…we donate any items left in our lost and found. This year’s pick up date is the morning of June 20th. Please make sure to check for your lost items before then. If you have any left over pencils and pens please bring them to the main office! We can always use them.
Imhotep is on for after school today.


Today is the last day for our Umbrella event. Throw some change in the umbrella next to the council room and get your chance to win $5 gift cards to Tim's or Subway! We will also have some cupcakes, so come on down to help the raise money for the Better Life bags!


Eagle of the week this week is Chanse Von Colpitts for being one of the awesome students who helped out with the grade 9 orientation. Thanks! Pick up your treat in the main office.


Student salute this week goes to: Mr. White for being an all around great person and helping with the tours of the schools who were visiting. Thanks for your tireless efforts!


Community:
June 3-7 is Bike week
Friday we have the Ecology Action Centre visiting to present basic bike maintenance, safe bike routes and safety tips. They will be in the pit stop by and ask any questions about bike safety.

The Halifax Citadel Society is hiring high school, university and college aged youth to work at Citadel Hill this summer as a Historical Interpreter for the Infantry and Artillery division.  The job entails I interpreting the role of a 19th -century British soldier, gunner or other character by executing military drills and manoeuvres, taking visitors on guided tours, participating in historical dramatizations, events, parades and performances in period costume.  For more information, please see the poster in Student Services.
