Guidance:
Dalhousie University is hosting a Virtual Open House on Saturday, November 7, 2020! They invite students to explore their undergraduate faculties, learn more about their campuses, connect with profs and students, and get a feel for student life.  Future students can spend the day exploring all of the opportunities a Dalhousie education has to offer through information sessions, panels, activities, fairs, chat and more! NSCC’s  is hosting a Virtual Open House .  The session will be held over several daysfrom November 17-26.   You will be able to apply for free, explore multiple areas of study, learn more about what it’s like to study at NSCC, find a program that’s right for you and earn a chance to win a $1000 tuition credit .  For more information check out the website at: nscc.ca/openhouse
We have two virtual information sessions coming up next week:A representative from Acadia University will be hosting a ZOOM meeting here on Thursday Nov 5th at 11:30am and StFX will be here the next day, Friday, Nov 6th, also at 11:30 am, to give students information on their institution and programs.  They will both be waiving the application fee for students who attend the session. Please sign your name on the appropriate list in Student Services if you are interested in attending the session.

Oulton College in Moncton, New Brunswick, is hosting a virtual Open House on Tuesday November 3rd at 6pm; see their website for more information.


We have a number of virtual open houses happening this week. Please make sure to check student services for more information on the following: Tuesday, Nov 3…Oulton College in Moncton- register on their website; Thursday, Nov 5…Acadia University is hosting a  zoom session here at 11:30 am- sign up in student services; Friday, Nov 6…StFX will be hosting a zoom meeting here also at 11:30 am- sign up in student services and Saturday, Nov 7 Dalhousie is hosting a virtual open house- sign up on their website.

Grad photos! It is that time of year again! They will take place from November 16-20. Go to Student Services to book your appointment. The sitting fee is $20 which you take care of when you have your picture taken. There will be no group photos taken in the school this year. You can contact Adams directly to arrange a group photo session. These are the photos that go into the yearbook so make sure you are included in them!


A representative from Dalhousie University will be coming to Auburn on Tuesday November 3rd at 12:05pm to speak with students who identify as being of African descent.  The presenter will talk about the university, its programs and the admission process.  They are hopefully waiving the application fee for students interested in applying.  Lunch is included.  If interested in attending, please sign your name on the list in Student Services no later than TODAY. 


Sports:
BASKETBALL GIRLS: Girls Basketball tryouts are this week in the gym from 4-6 on Wednesday and Thursday. Please bring your gear and good luck everyone.
VOLLEYBALL BOYS: Boys Volleyball play their final game this week on Wednesday against PA. Good luck Eagles!
VOLLEYBALL BOYS AND GIRLS: Girls and Boys Volleyball will be sharing the gym for their practice this Friday.


School:
DRAMA PRODUCTION: There will be a meeting at lunch on Thursday  in room 202 for those that are interested in being a part of a school production this year. This meeting will be to discuss ideas and gauge interest in a new style of production, perhaps even involving a film production!



In the caf: Pizza, Garlic Fingers, Sandwiches and wraps…chicken fingers and taters for the special today!

A very important message from Ms. Hudson: At lunch time you need to pick a spot and stay there. One of our Covid reducing protocols is reducing traffic in confined spaces. No roaming the halls. If you need to get out for a bit then go outside. Do not do your roaming inside the school.


Also, scents and spraying have come up again. There is to be no applying of scented products in our building. We have students and staff with life threatening reactions to these products. Do NOT apply them anywhere in our school. Preferably not at all if you are expected to be physically in the building but certainly do not reapply once you are here.
