TUESDAY, SEPT 17, IS THE FINAL DAY FOR COURSE CORRECTIONS

Guidance:
Very important note re Course changes: all course changes must be completed by tomorrow. If you have one to do go to student services ASAP to make an appointment with your guidance counselor. There will be no changes after tomorrow’s cut off.


A representative from the University of King’s College will be here on Tuesday September 24th during lunch time to speak to students about their programs and admissions.  Please see your school counsellor for more information.

Student fees can be brought to the main office. Please have them taken care of this week. We have a busy year planned that is made possible by your fees.

Outstanding text book lists have been posted. Please check for your name and missing books. Either return them or make arrangements to pay for them.


Sports:
Anyone interested in trying out for the Auburn Boys Hockey Team is required to attend a meeting in the yoga room at lunch time on Monday, September 16. You can get more information about tryouts and sign up using the link found on Auburn Hockey's twitter feed or the Auburn Hockey web page."
Today after school from 4-6 is the Girls Volleyball tryouts. Tomorrow after school will be the second tryout. All interested are encouraged to be there as these will be the only tryouts.

Boys Soccer plays at Weir Field today at 4pm. Players are reminded to meet in the pit at three pm today afternoon, please be on time.

Boys Baseball tryouts are concluding today at Conrad Field at 4pm today. Those 12 boys that are invited to move forward must be in attendance see the list in the gym. Anyone who missed Thursday are still invited to attend today's tryouts for a chance to join the team.

School:
Breakfast program will be starting up on Thursday morning. If you are interested in helping out with this very important and fun! Part of Auburn please sign up in the main office.


Notes from the music room

Calling all band students, past and present - if you played a band instrument in the last 3 years, you are welcome to join Concert Band + Jazz Band even if you are not in the music course!  Please see the music room window for the schedule and please sign up today so Ms Ferguson can have your music ready when rehearsals begin Tomorrow.

Be part of our music program even if you don't play an instrument!
Anyone interested in being part of the school's tech crew, which is working with sound + lights; or be the band manager or band librarian, no musical experience necessary,
applications for these leadership positions will open on Monday, due by Friday.

The bi-annual music trip is open to students in dinner theatre, concert band, tech crew, band manager + librarian - you are all eligible to join us in our trek to New York City! We will be touring Harlem for its jazz history, going to a Broadway show, working with Broadway professionals, seeing the New York Philharmonic, plus many other NYC attractions.  There will be an information meeting Thursday September 19 at 6:30pm for those not yet registered. Anyone interested in fundraising, join us at 7pm.

Drama club will take place Tuesdays at lunch in room 202. If you like to play theatre games and just generally have a great time, then is the club for you! Everyone welcome, no experience necessary. :)

Yearbook will meet in room 216 today at lunch.

Youth of Today will meet tomorrow at lunch in room 225. This meeting is mandatory.


Aubcon is our annual comicon event that happens the last weekend in May. We put on many events during the year to celebrate all things geek and nerd. Check out our Humans Vs Zombies nights, our video game tournaments, our cosplay events. Something for everygeek. Our first meeting for the year is Wed at lunch in room 103. Come check us out and join the fun.

The first meeting of the Auburn Drive Reach for the Top will be held Tuesday after school in room 204. Reach for the Top is a team-based trivia game with questions from all areas of general knowledge. If you like Trivia Crack or Jeopardy or Trivial Pursuit - come on out!

The first meeting of the Creative Gaming Club will be held at lunch on Thursday at lunch in room 305. Whether you like chess, board games, collectible card games like Magic or Pokemon, or any other tabletop game, come to the meeting and play!

There will be Christian fellowship this week Thursday at lunch in miss priest room.


There will be cross country practice after school this week today and Wednesday. If you have any questions see miss priest.
