Guidance:
Elevate Beauty is holding an Open House this Friday, October 25th from 6 – 8 pm.  People will have the opportunity to tour the school, learn about the full and part time programs we offer, meet the staff, instructors and current students.
A reminder that picture retakes will take place on Nov 1st. Please sign up in the main office if you would like your picture redone OR if you did not get one at all.


Photo ID’s: your ID”s are available from you D block teacher. If you have off block please see student services. If you haven’t yet taken care of your student fees you can come to the main office and pick it up.


Sports:
The Auburn Boys Hockey Team  got off to a hot start this season by defeating the Citadel Phoenix last night by a score of 7-1. Eagles had goals from 5 different players including Hayden Welburn and Tyler Puma with 2 each. Josh Braine was nearly perfect in nets stopping 17 shots. Thanks to all the fans who showed up to cheer the Eagles on. Come out and see the boys take on Sackville High next Tuesday.


There will be boys basketball tryouts Mon Tues and Wed this week from 8-10 in the gym. All are welcome to try out. Auburn will also have a JV team this year for extra opportunity to play.

Girls Basketball tryouts are Wed from 6-8 and Thurs 4-6. There will only be a varsity team this year.

Art Club will hold its first meeting this tomorrow at lunch in room 203. All are welcome. See Ms. Haws for further details.
Are you grade 10 or 11? Are you interested in travelling over March Break? If you have always wondered what it would be like to wander through Italy and Greece please stop in and see Ms. Kennedy in room 202 for information on the Fine Arts trip in March 2021.  Lots of time to fundraise and get yourself on a plane to Europe!

Social Justice will be hosting Pink Week this week. Tuesday will be Pink Day, with a pink themed photo booth. Wednesday is Watermelon Wednesday, so we will be selling watermelon cups in the pit. Thursday, we will be selling pink lemonade in the pit. All the money raised for Breast Cancer research


WE SCARE HUNGER: in the race for the top spot we have four classes who are serious about their collection. In 3rd place we have two classes tied: room 202 (drama) and 104 (Chiasson); in 2nd we have room 108 (manuel) and currently in first place is room 308- and they are way out front with double the points. Is that a challenge I hear Ms. Kennedy and Mr. Chiasson? I think it is.

Community:
Imhotep will meet afterschool today and tomorrow in room 225.


At Lunch today: GSA will hold its first meeting on today at lunch in room 203. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you are an LGBTQ+ youth or an ally.
