School

  • Did you know that anyone can wear Mi’kmaw/Indigenous beadwork? There are of course a few things you should know. You should know where it came from, know the story behind the artwork and who designed it if possible and definitely, wear it with pride. Mi’kmaq artists thrive when their products sell. It takes a lot of time to make bead work items and the artists take great pride in their work. There are some items that are specific for ceremony and will not be sold. Always buy from an authentic Indigenous artist and if you are finished with a piece, you should gift it to someone else to enjoy. If you are looking for beaded jewelry, please see Rachel in student services and she will give you information on local Mi’kmaq artisans.
  • Auburn Jibbetz are almost sold out! Get yours in the main office for $5!
  • Yearbooks are now on sale via School Cash Online!  Yearbooks are $55 until December 20th. The cost will increase to $60 in January and the deadline to order is March 22nd. No late payments will be accepted.
  • Bracelets and Earrings made in Ghana will be for sale in Student Services for $5 each.  Proceeds will go to support our sister school in Ghana.
  • Reminder of Christian fellowship today at lunch in room 225.
