School

• Did you know that only 13 of the 94 Truth and Reconciliation calls to action have been completed? At this rate, it will be the year 2065 before they are all completed.

• Don’t forget to order your yearbook by March 22 via School Cash Online!  The cost is $55 until December 20th but will increase to $60 in January. No late payments will be accepted!

• A GSA meeting will take place tomorrow at lunch in the youth health center.

• Chess club will meet today at lunch in room 305. Boards are available or bring your own.

• A reminder that there will be a Prom Meeting for parents tomorrow at 7pm.

• There will be a pumpkin carving context taking place next Monday at lunch time. NSISP and Canadian students are welcome to participate. Groups of 2 are allowed. A vote will take place on Tuesday October 31st and the winner will receive a $20 gift card. Sign up sheet is on the bulletin board in Student Services.

• There is a Duke of Ed meeting in the library at lunch today.

• Students who have off during A block, please stop by the main office this week to pick up your student ID.

Sports

• There will be tryouts for the Auburn Boys Varsity Basketball team today from 8-10pm and Tuesday, October 24th from 6-8pm.

• The boys hockey team lost a very close game in a shootout last night. The boys kept getting behind, but never gave up and came back time and again. With the goalie pulled, Carter Soontiens scored the tying goal with only 2 seconds left. A great start to the season and the team wants to thank the many fans who came out to support the team. We will be back next Tuesday to take on the Millwood Knights. See you then.

Community

• Auburn is collecting dry goods for the Grand Opening of the Cole Harbour Community Fridge. Donations can be dropped off at the main office or in the Schools Plus room (Room 105) until Friday.  Let's show our community how Auburn Eagles give back!

Cafeteria

• Lunch today in the cafeteria will be Burgers and Fries. Tomorrow’s lunch will be Jerk Chicken.
