School

  • Did you know? The wide bottom Mi'kmaq cabor was raised at both ends and the sides curved upwards in the middle. This shape allowed the Mi'kmaq to canoe far out to sea as well as in the shallow streams and even the rapids. These canoes were 3m -8m long, made of birch bark over a light wooden frame. A small canoe could carry a load of several hundred pounds but was light enough for one person to carry.
  • Chess club will take place at lunch in room 305.
  • The Auburn High School Greece trip is hosting a Halloween movie night this Thursday from 6:30-9pm. Tickets are $5, including popcorn. They will be showing 2 movies. Scream will be playing in the cafeteria for teens, and Hotel Transylvania will be playing in the library for younger children. There will be candy bags, chips and pop for sale as well. Tickets will be on sale today at lunch, or you can see Ms. Donahoe to buy tickets as well. Some tickets will be for sale at the door. Come out for a fun night and support the school Greece trip!
  • There will be peer tutoring at lunch today.
  • A Reminder that there is a PD Day tomorrow so there will be no school for students.

Sports

  • The Boys JV Basketball will be having open Tryouts on Tuesday, October 31st from 8 to 10 PM & Thursday, November 2nd from 8 to 10 PM.Please come ready to play with appropriate GYM wear.  All are welcome.

  • A representative from Saint FX University will be at Auburn on Wednesday November 8th during lunch time.  Please stop by to get information and ask questions!

  • Lunch today in the cafeteria will be Sweet Chili Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Veggies.
