Breakfast program announcement: A message from Mr. Bush. Breakfast program will be cancelled for the balance of February as there have been no volunteers showing up to assist our community volunteer Sandy. She has done it by herself the last two days and that is not right. If you would like to see the program back on in March, please sign up in the main office and SHOW UP when you are scheduled.

Guidance:
The deadline for students to apply for a Dalhousie entrance award is quickly approaching. Students must submit their application for admission, their entrance award application and any supporting documents before March 1 to be considered.

The Harrison McCain Scholarships/Bursaries are available annually to entering students attending University who have graduated from a high school in Canada. Each award has a program value of $16,000 payable over a four year course of study in the amount of $4,000 per year. Criteria for the awards include a minimum 80% average in senior year of high school, financial need, leadership qualities, and a recognized initiative in funding your own education. The number of scholarships/bursaries available may vary from year to year. Renewal criteria to be met each year.  Deadline for receipt of the completed application is MARCH 1.  Please check with the university you plan to attend for the application.
The Aberdeen Health Foundation’s Pat Lord Post-Secondary Education Award for Pictou County Adoptees recognizes the work of Mrs. Pat Lord, Adoption Worker with the Children’s Aid Society of Pictou County. This award is available to any youth who was in the care of the Children’s Aid Society of Pictou County and who was placed for adoption either in Pictou County or elsewhere in Nova Scotia. It is also available to youth who were in care elsewhere in NS and who were placed with adoptive families in Pictou County.  The application deadline is May 15, 2020.  Please see the bulletin board in Student Services for more information.



School:
Hey Eagles! Get excited because on Feburary 26th in the caf from 6:30 - 9pm there's going to be a neon themed dance! Tickets will be for sale all next week and they're $6 with food item and $7 without and you will be able to sign in a guest! All proceeds will go to the IWK and the food donations will go to our local food bank.

Students from Ms. Haws's semester 1 art classes should pick up their End of Semester Projects by Friday. All uncollected work will be disposed of.

Fun, fun, FUN!!
It's that time of year again! Auburn's annual musical. This year's show is called I Think I Want to Marry You, and it is a musical comedy sure to get your toes tapping and your laughter happening. For the low, low price of only $5, (That's right, $5) you can purchase a ticket and experience the fun next Thursday morning, February 20th, during C & D block in the cafeteria. This counts as a school activity and doesn't affect exemptions. Tickets will be on sale at lunch in the pit until next Wednesday.
Please come on out and support Auburn's drama department...what a great way to spend a morning!!


At Lunch today:
Auburn Boys Rugby.  Any and all boys that are interested in playing rugby this year, please attend a brief meeting at the beginning of lunch today in Room 219. All are welcome and no experience is necessary.  Hope to see you there.
