Dalhousie University is again hosting their Discovery Day in Health Sciences at Dalhousie University on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. Students will  have the opportunity to explore careers in medicine and health sciences via a keynote lecture, interactive workshops and discussion with a panel of experts from various related fields. VERY IMPORTANT:  Interested grade 11 and 12 students should see Mr. Young in Guidance by the end of the day TODAY  if interested as spaces are limited.  Once signed up you will be called down on Wednesday to sign up on line.

The Auburn Drive High Animal Awareness committee is once again hosting the cutest pet contest. This is open to students and staff. Please submit a clear picture of your pet, including his/her name, personality and age to Ms Moser. We are focusing on supporting local shelters and  would love to know if your little angel came from a rescue. Gift cards from Petvalue will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Terry Fox Week: Tuesday: Tea for Terry- tea and hot chocolate for sale for $1.; Walk Wednesday: Pay $2 and walk for Terry during D block; Thursday: Tea for Terry; Friday: Pie Friday- buy a ticket for a chance to win an opportunity to throw a pie at a teacher. $0.50 per ticket. Tickets will be sold all week. There will be a shakedown during D block. All proceeds go towards the Terry Fox Foundation!


Hey eagles! Interested in getting involved with your school? Attend the club fair on October 10th! This coming Thursday in the pit at lunch, you will find clubs and sports like jack.org, free the children, aubcon, rugby and many more to join! Don’t miss out! If you have a club and want to advertise sign up outside the council room to get a booth.

Bring some money to the club fair. Also available for purchase will be some imported jewellery. $3-$7 for a variety of original jewellery. Imported from Ghana in support of our sister school there on the Cape Coast of Africa. We are raising money to help the Amissah School complete projects to help their students. You could do some holiday shopping at the same time!

Humans vs Zombies…Tuesday, October 15 6pm-9pm… only $5 per person in advance (Thursday, Friday or Tuesday) or at the door. Three hours of chasing down the zombie scourge…help stop…or spread…the infection. You don’t want to miss this first one of the year!

We Scare Hunger is Back! From Now until Nov 1 we will be collecting non-perishable food items and new toiletries (toothbrushes, feminine products, diapers, shaving stuff). Bring the items to your D block class to place in the box there. The Class with the most items will win a prize! This week’s top three classes are: in third place 305, second place 108 and in first place room 308. A little thank you treat will be coming your way Mr. Ingalls. We look forward to seeing who is in the lead next week!


IMHOTEP will meeting tomorrow and Thursday after school.

At Lunch today: There will be an important meeting for anyone interested in working on the prom committee on Tuesday, Oct 8 in room 307. … Craft fair participants/helpers there will be a meeting today in the band room 201…Youth of today in room 225….

In the caf: Taco Tuesday…also Turkey dinner time! This Thursday for only $7 you can have one of Tony’s community famous turkey dinners! Please buy a ticket in advance so he can make up enough for all who want it….
